1900 FAQ

    Question:
How do I replace the chart plate assembly?

Answer: The Chart Plate assembly installs / removes very easily. Depending on how many pen motors you have, there are a maximum of seven (7) connections to be made. The Table below indicates wiring labels and location of connector.

    Connector

    Labeled

    Location

    Orientation

    Chart Motor

    P12

    Processor

    Top

    Pen Lift Motor

    P11

    Processor

    Top

    Pen 1 Motor

    P10

    Pen 2 Motor

    P9

    Pen 3 Motor

    Switch Assy

    P1

    Ground Strap

    GND

    Transformer

    Spade Lug

In the above table, "Orientation" refers to the direction in which the cable wires are connected to the Processor Board. For example: The Pen 1 Motor will be connected to the Processor Board at connection point labeled P10 with the wires coming from the top. To make connections easier, the factory has labeled both the wiring with a white tag and the Processor Board has the connector labeled as well. See image below:

IMPORTANT!! Keep track of cable orientation
Notice these Pen Motors have the wiring in the "TOP" Direction.

The Chart Plate is held in place by two hinges attached to the case and is easily removed by lifting the chart plate up off the hinge pin. See image below:

The ER/C Chart Plate Assemby easily attaches to the Recorder/Controller.
